Family Sheep

Mackenzie talks about the significance that family and love play in his paintings and how they, and the Yorkshire countryside, continue to inspire him as an artist as much as the first time he drew them. The renowned ‘square sheep’ which Mackenzie has become so synonymous with represented his wife, son and daughter in the Yorkshire landscape and have become a world-wide phenomenon.

Great care and attention to detail goes in to every Mackenzie Thorpe print and here he talks about the varnish that is used to bring an extra lustre to the pictures.
